Lights Not Working Right?

Yep, that can happen. Start by checking if the light is getting power.

Still not working? Take a quick photo of what you’re seeing and reach out to the dealer or installer who set things up. They’ll walk you through the next steps or help arrange a fix.

That’s usually a wiring or connection issue. Snap a photo of the lights and send it to your original installer. It’s the fastest way to figure out the issue and get it taken care of.

No problem. You’ve got options:

  • Reach out to your installer for a quick walkthrough.

Not Connecting to WiFi? Let’s Fix That

First, check that your Alba controller is on—it should have a solid blue light.

If it’s off or blinking, press and hold the AP/STA button for about 20 seconds until the light goes solid blue. That resets the WiFi signal so you can try pairing again.

That usually means your phone is on a 5GHz WiFi network, which doesn’t play nice with our system. Try switching your phone to a 2.4GHz network and run the pairing process again. Still not working? Use the Alba Lights signal instead.

This one’s sneaky. It might be a router hiccup or a setup misstep. Try this:

  • Restart your controller and your WiFi router

  • Reinstall the Alba Lights app

  • Make sure you’re on a 2.4GHz signal (super important!)

Good question. Every Alba controller has a unique name (SSID).

When you scan for devices in the app, match the name to what’s printed on your controller label. If needed, use the HOLD button feature to lock onto the right one.

Power outages can cause the controller to reset. Once power is back:

  • Check that your light or switch is on

  • Manually reboot your controller if needed

  • Pro tip: Use a smart outlet with memory so you’re covered for future outages
